Welcome to Our Stables

We have a miniature horse farm complete with mama horses, papa horses and baby one's too! When you visit us, you will have access to all of them. They are little horses just right for the children to groom, walk, and love on.

Here you will see pictures of some of the 2002 and 2003 colts, in addition to "Dickens" our miniature that pulls our carts, and sleigh.

Enjoy!!

Our little horses are for sale to families who will give them a good home. They are exceptionally smart, easily trained. Miniatures have recently been designated to be "seeing" horses for the vision impaired. What a wonderful companion and help they would make for a visually impaired person!

Abby was born on May 1, 2003. She is a very curious filly, who has her nose in all the places she can get it.

Brisco, left photo, was born May 2, 2003. In the right photo, Brisco is the horse on the left, as a yearling, and just beginning to shed his winter coat. When his winter coat is gone he will be very smooth coated and dark brown.

This picture is to allow you to see the difference in the miniature and standard horse. The two miniatures in the front of the standard horse have reached their adult height.

Tiny Tim is another very small horse at 27" tall at the withers. As one of the smallest stallions at Tater Hill, he will hopefully sire other small horses.

Miniature horses can be shown at horse shows. They can pull up to two adults in a cart or sleigh, and ridden by children up to 65 pounds. They are registered with the American Miniature Horse Association. When they reach adulthood, they are no more than 38 inches at the withers. Some are smaller and are under 30 inches.

Miniature horses are not to be confused with Shetland Ponies. They are not the same at all. One characteristic, is the Shetlands are larger than miniatures.

Sandy pictured on the left and Spirit on the right.

They, Spirit and Sandy were born in the Spring of 2002. They neigh and whinny very audibly when approached at feeding time. Miniatures bond very quickly with their new owners. Miniatures are exceptionally intelligent, and can be trained easily.

Ashley, 8, and Sarah, 3, grand daughters of Glen & Jane Smith of Heber Springs, AR, are proud new owners of "Spirit," 2 months old (2002).

Happy Trails To You

Some trails are happy ones
Others are blue
It's the way you ride the trail that counts
Here's a happy one for you

Happy trails to you
Until we meet again
Happy trails to you
Keep smilin' until then

Who cares about the clouds if we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather

Happy Trails to you
Till we meet again

Lyrics by Dale Evans
